About Graceview Church
How It Started
On Feb 27, 2022, Henry Baptist Church in McDonough, GA, sent out five families to become a church of our own. We began to meet in homes for worship and Bible study. We experienced grace and community in these humble and authentic gatherings, but we all agreed that we needed to be able to invite others into our community.
So when we met, we would pray fervently for a place big enough to invite others. At times, it seemed that there was no solution. We had knocked on every door we could find.
And then in July 2022, after 5 months of meeting in homes and waiting on the Lord to provide for us, God opened a door for us in Barnesville, with an invitation to make the former campus of Pine View Baptist Church our new church home.
Who We Are Now
God put it in the heart of the remaining members of Pine View Baptist to give the church property to our church so that the gospel would continue to be spoken in this community.
What a miracle! God has done much more than we asked or thought. We immediately began to meet on the new campus for worship and programs. We worked hard to create spaces for children, students and adults and we decided to call ourselves Graceview church.
As soon as possible we began to reach out to the community around us and God has added to our numbers weekly. We are a church with a miracle story of God’s provision and grace. We are a church with the DNA of sacrificial servants compelled by the love of Christ.
